We are a family of four, our children are 21 and 19. We bought our house in Anstruther as a weekend and holiday retreat when our children were very young, and spent many happy weekends and holidays in it. We hope you will enjoy it too.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our holiday home is a well-equipped townhouse, located in the centre of the charming coastal village of Anstruther. It is well located for all local amenities including shops, pubs, restaurants, golf, coastal walks and beaches. The accommodation is laid out over 3 floors, with each of the two bedrooms having its own ensuite bathroom. There is an additional pull-out bed in the downstairs twin room, or alternatively a futon in the lounge. We don't recommend the house for groups of more then 5 people. In the living/dining room there is a dining table, two sofas and a SMART TV. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, oven/hob, microwave and fridge-freezer. The double room is located on the top floor - please note that there are sloping ceilings on the top floor, so this room may not be ideal if you are over 6 ft. There are some games and DVDs provided, lots of books, as well as garden furniture if you wish to sit out in the communal courtyard. On request, we can leave tennis racquets and balls. There is an additional downstairs toilet.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Anstruther is a traditional fishing village with a charming seafront and harbour, on the Fife coast. There are many outdoor activities to enjoy including golf, walking, beaches, boat trips and watersports. The historic university town of St Andrews is a short drive or bus ride away. Edinburgh and Dundee are also both accessible for a day trip. Plenty of places to eat and there is also a small supermarket in the village. Just 2 minutes from the house there is children's playground, park and tennis courts.

We ask that you are respectful to our neighbours, some of whom live in the courtyard all year round. This includes ensuring you use the allocated parking bay, using our marked bins and keeping noise levels down at night. Thank You.
We are flexible regarding pets, the house would be suitable for a small dog. We ask that dogs are not allowed on any furniture or in bedrooms. These are the rules our own spaniel lives by.
