Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We are open to exchanges, particularly California exchanges during school holiday periods.

Charming small town, northern California wine country location, 55m north of San Francisco, 20 minutes to beautiful Sonoma County beaches and Russian River resort area; Great vacation location.


Our home has two bedrooms and two baths. We have bed space for five. (One fold out couch in office). Our kitchen is fully equipped and we have a washer and dryer in the house. We have 3 mountain bikes that you are welcome to use during your stay. Our home is close to the center of town and is within walking distance of a park and swimming pool, grocery stores, bookstores, restaurants, movie theatre and other small shops. We have a very friendly neighborhood full of people that will be happy to answer any questions you have or offer suggestions on things to do during your visit.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

We are located in an older residential neighborhood within a 10 minute walk of the center of town. We have friendly neighbors who will be happy to answer any questions while you are in our home. We are 1 block from a public park and swimming pool that is open year round.

Our home is 1 block from Main Street and 10 minutes from the center of town. Downtown has many restaurants, shops, cafes, a movie theater and live theater. We are also within walking distance of The Barlow, a new area of restored industrial buildings showcasing local food, wine, beer and art.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

We are also within easy access of two multi-use trails leading to nearby Santa Rosa and to a couple more small towns north of Sebastopol. We are also a block away from a public park with a swimming pool.

We are about 20 minutes from beautiful beaches of the Pacific Ocean. There are many opportunities for outdoor activities including hiking, biking and swimming plus all the cultural and scenic attractions San Francisco has to offer. We are 30 minutes from the old growth redwoods of Armstrong Redwoods State Park and an hour from the beautiful coastline of Point Reyes National Seashore. It is a great location to explore all Northern California has to offer from wine country to San Francisco.
