I care for our beautiful farmhouse and gardens and am a nonprofit strategic management consultant after 16 years managing and producing events at an historic Victorian Opera House. Craig is the newly retired Vice President of a University in Bangor, Maine and now teaches part-time. In my spare time I love beach and dog walks, gardening, seeing friends, reading on our deck, traveling (hopefully now?!?!), visiting with our adult children and their spouses and attending theatre/sports/concerts. Craig loves to spend time at our island camp on Moosehead Lake - which allows for our non-simultaneous swaps!!

1850 beautifully renovated oceanfront farmhouse on rolling acres leading down to ocean with apple orchards, beautiful grounds and gardens. Bright, airy, comfortable and stylishly furnished home. Fireplace in living room. Large deck with outdoor furniture, grill. Gorgeous beam exposed barn area with additional sleeping accommodations - great for guests. (Pls. note: there is no running water or bathroom in the barn studio area)
Area in general received many "best of" ratings, summer (and winter) home of many rich and famous.
3 beaches within 5 minute drive; lighthouses. Vibrant seacoast town with art galleries, great restaurants (James Beard list, etc.) , Farnsworth Art Museum and Owls Head Transportation Museum. Ski mountain/tobogganing/tubing 15 minutes away. Indoor and outdoor ice skating. Fabulous new Y and indoor tennis/ice skating arena. Windjammers, schooners and sailing. Beautiful parks, hiking. Close to Camden, Penobscot Bay.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We love where we live - quiet and feels relaxed and calm, yet only 5 minutes to a vibrant town (Rockland, Me) in all "best towns" lists, and 15 minutes to beautiful historic Camden, Maine. Great neighbors including a real lighthouse, a pond, sea views and ocean/harbor access. The small but quaint town of Owls Head is just up the street and on our peninsula there are four beaches, three preserves great for hiking, a small general store famous for it's "5 Napkin Burger" on the Food Channel, and the most famous of all - just 1 mile from us - Primo Restaurant - many come from around the world to dine there. primorestaurant.com.

Ski mountain just 15 minutes away; windjammers, beaches, art galleries, museums, great restaurants, old and new Maine. I'm known for my deep local knowledge (lived here for 30 years) and enjoyment of sharing it with our guests.
Acadia National Park is just 1.5 hour drive. Portland Maine a wonderful harbor town south of us. Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens 40 minutes away voted best Botanic Gardens in the USA.
