Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our three bedroom, 3 bath beach home was uniquely designed to take advantage of beautiful marsh views. Floor to ceiling windows and beams salvaged from an old tobacco warehouse add to the architectural interest of the home. All three bedrooms have king beds. The large bedroom overlooking the marsh also has a pull out trundle bed and a loft with a twin mattress. Two of the bedroom have avflat screen TV with streaming capabilities. The well equipped kitchen has been recently remodeled and the harvest-style dining table seats eight to ten comfortably. We are located across the street from the ocean near the Oak Island Lighthouse. Only 2 rows of houses along the beach road ensure uncrowded beaches even during peak season.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Once you cross the bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway you enter a tranquil, unspoiled beach community. The beach is never crowded so there is plenty of room to spread your towels and set up beach chairs. People who have discovered this out-of-the-way beach community return year after year July through September to watch the hatching of loggerhead sea turtles. You can schedule a tour to the top of the lighthouse for spectacular 360 degree views of the ocean and marshlands. Grocery stores and a movie theater are nearby. Golf courses abound here. One is just two miles west of us. Numerous historic sites dating from early 1700's and the Civil War are in the area
We are near the town of Southport with its beautiful historic homes, quaint shops and seafood restaurants. Southport was named by Trip Advisor and Southern Living Magazine as a top US small town to explore. Farther afield is the riverfront town of Wilmington, NC, recently named a top winter destination. Myrtle Beach, an hour away, offers touristy activities and entertainment.
