Home is in a convenient site on a 500 mile shoreline lake (Smith Mtn. Lake) in beautiful SW VA. Near the Blue Ridge Pwy, Appalachian Trail. 45 minutes from downtown Roanoke. There is a small neighborhood pool a few hundred yards from us & neighborhood tennis courts. Our upscale tree-lined neighborhood is hospitable to our exchange friends from around the world.
Our house is convenient as a home base for active vacations and U.S. Civil War buffs.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our upscale neighborhood is well-landscaped and maintained. We have several miles of walking paths and friendly neighbors. Our clubhouse features a small swimming pool and tennis/pickleball courts. Neighbors and guests often gather for tennis, pickle ball, lake water aerobics, walking and social activities.Striper fishing on our large lake is popular with many local and some national fishing tournaments.

Our house is on a 500 mile shoreline clean lake surrounded by mountains. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short distance from us. It is a scenic parkway suitable for cycling if you enjoy hills. There is plenty of Appalachian, Bluegrass and other music in our area. There is plenty of Civil War history. Our upscale, tree-lined neighborhood is friendly and safe. There is a small neighborhood pool and tennis/pickleball court, and walking paths throughout the neighborhood. We are dog-friendly.
