Sunny location in the Valley of Vermont adjacent to the Green Mountain National Forest. 3 ski resorts with snow-making within 20 minute drive; also three cross country ski centers. Company outlet shopping, 40 restaurants in Manchester; 2 acres of grounds on private road. Hiking includes the Appalachian Trail on the near ridge, canoeing, nationally renowned trout fishing. Indoor skating rink nearby-summer and winter. Falconry and fly-fishing schools in town. Six week Vermont Festival horse show, 3 miles north in summer. Summer stock theaters, public golf course.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our home shares a sloping open space, which was a former farm, with six other similar homes, each on a two acre lot. Access is very convenient with a state highway at the end of our private road. Views are toward the Green Mountains to the east, north, and south. The nearby homes are carefully landscaped and have maintained grass lawns. Some of the lots are separated with split wood rail fences.

Manchester is a four season resort town nestled in the Valley of Vermont with three downhill ski mountains, the Green Mountain National Forest with hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, a five week summer horse show, indoor skating rink, numerous restaurants with a wide variation of cuisines, an art center, outdoor public swimming pool, two nearby summer stock theatres, a falconry school, nationally famous Battenkill River for trout fishing, fly fishing school and museum, and a large assortment of outlet shops.
