We are mostly-retired world travelers who spend most of our days on the Maine coast. We offer a large 5+ bedroom 1840 seaside cottage, literally bordering a rocky beach. Our Eastport home is the most northeastern seaside town in Maine, with views across the bay to Canada--you can even see FDR's summer home on Campobello Island from some of our upstairs bedrooms and even whales, foxes, bald eagles, gulls, and deer, depending on the time of year.
Our 5+ generously sized bedrooms each offer double occupancy. Unwind in our upstairs claw-foot tub, or shower downstairs, where there is a grand ballroom, library, tv room with a sleeper sofa, and year-round beautiful views of the water from our sunroom.
While in Maine, travel north to Canada or south, along the rocky Maine coast, to Acadia National Park, all the way down to Portland and York County.
Bonus: Stay on our 5-acre private island, complete with a 100% off-the-grid craftsman's home, approximately 1.5 hours south, down the coast nearby Mt. Desert Island and Bar Harbor.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our Eastport, Maine home offers easy access to Canada and perfect location for exploring the beauty of Maine. With 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, our large home is great for 10+ guests. No more than 3 blocks from the downtown main street, and across the street from the beach, this property is ideally located.
Eastport is known for beautiful spring flowers (lupine is spectacular in May/June), festivals all summer (4th of July and Pirates' Festival in August are fabulous), extraordinary leaf viewing opportunities in the fall, and unparalleled snowy tranquility each winter.
Bonus: Stay on our 5-acre private island in the Milbridge region!
