Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Within walking distrance you will find one of Europe´s largest Botanical Gardens. If you look at the overall map of Berlin you will see that Berlin is surrounded by woods and lakes - great for hiking and/or taking boat trips. One trip you should definitely take is the 1 or 1-1/2 hr boat trip through the centre of Berlin. Depending on your time schedule an absolute must would/could/should be a trip to the SPREEWALD (look it up under Wikipedia), only a one hour drive or railway trip - I will post links.
