Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

The cosy flat built in 2009 is 80 square meter, 3 rooms, 2 bedrooms (one for 2, one for 3 - bunk-bed) in a chalet of 5 apartments. There is also a large terrace an a little garden and garage for the car. You can wash and dry in the common washing room.
The flat as a nice bath room equipped with a super shower. Heat is confortable from the floor. On TV you will have Netflix Amazon Disney etc... For cooking everything is available to have nice meals (micro-waves, washing machine, coffee machine Jura etc...).
Use of the car is essential because situated 1.4 kilometer from the village center. Steep road to climb from the village to the chalet. During ski season, a little free bus drive you at 5 minutes walk from the flat.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Champéry : un charmant village aux vieux chalets typiques au pied des majestueuses montagnes Les Dents du Midi. Très facilement accessible en voiture ou même en train grâce à un petit train qui parcourt la vallée.
L'appartement est situé dans un grand chalet en dessus du village, dans un endroit très calme, qui bénéficie d'une belle vue sur la vallée. Nous sommes au coeur du Val d'Illiez à côté d'une belle forêt de sapins de laquelle peut surgir un renard ou des chevreuils. Dans la montagne en face, on peut voir des fermes avec des vaches et des moutons.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Champéry est un village animé au charme préservé. La rue principale est bordée de vieux chalets typiques. C'est le point de départ idéal pour les amoureux du ski en hiver, grâce à l'immense domaine skiable des Portes du Soleil, qui vous emmènera sur plus de 600 kilomètres de pistes autant en Suisse qu'en France. En été, les possibilités de randonnées sont innombrables. Le centre sportif héberge une patinoire ainsi qu'un piscine extérieure et intérieure. A 10 minutes de voiture pour pourrez vous détendre aux bains thermaux de Val d'Illiez. Pour les sportifs, vous aurez la possibilité de faire du parapente, de l'accrobranche et de l'escalade à la Via Ferrata. Le lac Léman n'est pas loin (30 minutes de voiture) et il est possible de sa baigner ou de faire des excursions à bord des bateaux de la CGN.
