We spent a great week based in this wonderful historic home. Though it has such a long history, it was very comfortable - spacious, well fitted out, with great views. And the location was excellent - we looked out to important city square and we could walk to most of the main museums and shopping. Plus it was opposite a tram stop and around the corner from the Tourist Information office. Highly recommended!

Claude welcomed us and showed us around in the house. Thanks to his tips we enjoyed a nice week in Basel, a very interesting city.

Vielen Dank für den schönen Austausch an Claude und Alice. Die Wohnung in Basel war sofort wie ein Zuhause für uns. Die interessante Einrichtung und außergewöhnliche Architektur haben uns begeistert. Der erste Rundgang mit Claude durch das abendliche Basel wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Ein wunderbarer Tausch.

Gleich nach unserer Ankunft nahm uns Claude auf eine Besichtigungstour durch die Altstadt mit. So lernten wir die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten im Schnelldurchlauf kennen. Sehr gerne fuhren wir mit der Überfuhr ans andere Rheinufer und sahen bei einem Glas Bier den Schwimmern zu. Das Angebot an Museen ist überwältigend. Im Haus am Barfi ( zentraler geht es nicht !) haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Viel zu schnell war unser Aufenthalt vorbei. Vielen Dank an Claude und Alice!

Abbiamo trascorso dieci giorni molto belli visitando Basilea ( i monumenti, i musei e il bellissimo lungo Reno). La casa situata in pieno centro storico ci ha permesso di muoverci facilmente sia a piedi che con i mezzi pubblici ( le principali fermate dei tram si trovano sotto casa). Il nostro ospite è stato molto gentile: ci ha accolto all'aeroporto e dopo averci accompagnato a casa, con lui abbiamo potuto farci una prima idea della città. La casa è molto confortevole sotto tutti i punti di vista. Innumerevoli i ristoranti e le birrerie sotto casa. E' stato uno scambio positivo e ben riuscito !

Nos sentimos muy bien acogidos por Claude y Alice en su maravillosa casa. La casa es perfecta para disfrutar de Basilea y bonitas ciuades cercanas: Luzern, Zurich.... Tambien constituye una buena plataforma para acercarse a Alsacia y la Selva Negra.
