Hi! Our family exchanges over the years have taken us marvelous places such as Rome, Paris, Portland and Canada. We're a family of four who love to explore and enjoy wherever we are. We are generally very easy going and enjoy being excellent hosts as well as good visitors.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our large modern house is located just a 3-minute walk from a large forest area, just 11 min drive from Stockholm's downtown. The nearby forest has grilling areas and two lakes with 3 beaches are within a 15-minute walk.
The medieval capital of Stockholm and its attractions including more than 100 museums and several castles are conveniently located. Our patio has space for even the largest family, our fireplace and sauna can be used, and we have all the conveniences you could want on your vacation. We keep our garden planted in the summer, with vegetables for your use. There is a carport with parking for 2-3 cars.
The house is very parent, teen and child-friendly, including 2 xbox game consoles, 3 televisions and a lot of toys, both indoor and outdoor. There is a piano, a large netted trampoline, and a large patio with grill. Our bicycles can be used, we have one adult bike, two teen bikes and a bike for a small child. We have a high-speed fiber connection for internet needs.
The exchange can include access to our car.
Airport: ARN (Stockholm-Arlanda) 25 min drive

Stockholm is a fantastic vibrant city on water with a large medieval old town and a 15th century castle. Summer activities range from free outdoor theater to Stockholm's jazz festival and boat trips in the archipelago. Winters boast skiing competitions and some of the finest museums in Europe.
We have exchanged before to Europe and North America.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighborhood is quiet, with limited car traffic and no through roads. We live on a road that ends with a path into the local forest. Most of the houses in this area are built in the 1990s and 2000s. There are 2 lakes in the vicinity, with three beaches. Around the corner (a 2-minute walk) there is a new outdoor gym and a new playground for kids 2-12, as well as a football field and a outdoor volleyball net. There are several gyms and tennis centers in the vicinity, as well as places to kayak, and the driving range is just a few minutes away by car. There are 5 grocery stores within a few minutes car ride or a short bus ride.
Downtown Stockholm has more than 100 museums. Our family likes the amusement park Gröna Lund, which is easy to get to, and we often go to the theater or movies.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Our house is just 200 meters from the forested nature preserve, Rinkebyskogen, where there are 5 km, 7.5 km and 10 km trails.
One popular excursion is around a lake just a short walk from our house, Rösjön. This site has more pictures! https://www.vandringstjejen.se/rosjoleden-i-sollentuna/
There are several cafes and shops in Mörby Centrum, which is still a quiet neighborhood shopping center. https://morbycentrum.se/
The best lunch burgers in the vicinity are probably at Phil's burgers at Mörby centrum: https://www.philsburger.se/
And we really like the rolling sushi buffet in Kista centrum, a 10-minute drive: https://zan.se/
For more romantic occasions, we either go into town by car or public transport, or go to Bockholmen, a cozy and quaint restaurant located on a peninsula nearby. They have excellent brunch and dinners, and sometimes in the summer their sea-side bar is open on weekends. https://bockholmen.com/
There are amazing day trips to be had all around the area, to farms (https://siggestagard.se/pa-garden/djur-och-natur/), a countryside homemade ice-cream bar (http://vaddogardsmejeri.se/bondens-glasskalas/), on boats to the archipelago (https://www.stromma.com/en-se/stockholm/sightseeing/sightseeing-by-boat/archipelago-tour-with-guide/), or just a local hike (
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
