This is an exceptional holiday home available for exchange within a few miles of The Yorkshire Dales National Park. Centrally situated for day visits to York, Durham, English Lake District, Yorkshire Heritage Coast, Hadrian's Roman Wall & the Scottish Borders. London 3 hours by train, Edinburgh 2 hours by train. Manchester International Airport only 2 hours by car. Richmond is also located halfway between two regional airports Newcastle & Leeds both only 1 hour away. Richmond is a very friendly market town with artisan shops, museums, art galleries, cafes & restaurants. Traditional English Pub just round the corner. 'Castle View Cottage' is located in a conserved area of special architectural & historic interest. Close by is the extensive Yorkshire Dales National Park considered to be the most friendly visitor region in the country.

Richmond in Yorkshire is one of England's most beautiful market towns. The 11th Century Richmond Castle dominates the town and is open to the public courtesy of English Heritage . The Georgian Royal Theatre is the oldest working theatre in Britain with award winning performances & tours. The Old Station is a beautifully restored Victorian railway building with art/photography exhibitions, craft beers brewery, cafe/bar/restaurant. Millgate House gardens overlook the river & renowned for its innovative colourful planting schemes. The historic Market Place is surrounded by fine Georgian buildings with a weekly market. A circular 2 mile walk by the river takes you to the tranquil ruins of 12th Century Easby Abbey. The Richmondshire Museum displays the surgery set from the James Herriot 'All Creatures & Small' TV series. The Green Howards military Museum tells the story of Yorkshire's most famous regiment. Walk the famous Coast to Coast trail and enjoy the spectacular waterfalls of Richmond along the way.
