Our home is on a super-safe, quiet, family estate, surrounded by lovely neighbors. There is an extensive local park 5/10 minutes walk away, along with shops and a family pub/restaurant.

The local town of Trowbridge with all its amenities, including cinema and restaurant complex, can be walked to in half an hour, however, we do think that to get the most from the area guests would need to have a car.

There many things to do in the area, in fact we have more than our fair share of tourist attractions. We are about a half hour drive from the famous Georgian city of Bath with its roman spa and iconic architecture, and the world famous Stonehenge and lesser known Avebury henge, the biggest ancient stone circle in Europe. 15 minutes away we have Lacock village, filming site for many BBC dramas, including Downton Abby, Cranford, Pride and Prejudice and many more. The Abby there was also frequently used to film the Harry Potter series and there are many signs of this to be found in the shops and eateries as you wander around the quaint, un-spoilt village.
TVs Longleat safari park and house is 20 mins away for a fun-filled family day out and a plethora of walks and national trust properties also surround the area.

The house is about an hour from Bristol airport by car. There is a bus stop 5 mins away and the train station is about 40 minutes by foot.
