Hello, I'm Canadian and came to live in the UK in 1964 with my parents. I have two grown up daughters and one gorgeous grandson. I've lived in the lovely spa town of Harrogate for 25 years, prior to that I lived in Spain where I learnt Spanish and visit this beautiful country as often as I can. I have travelled extensively over the years, I was in the travel industry before computers, remember Clarksons the champagne flights?
I was in Japan and South Africa this year and loved those trips but I feel I'm not wanting to do suitcase holidays anymore.
I have a deep desire to visit Ireland again and see everything north and south.
I live with my darling indoor cat called Flickie, she was a godsend during Covid. As she's now 13 years old I would appreciate a family who could live with her in my house as she's only ever known this house. She is a scaredy cat so you would probably only see her when she's ready to present herself!
So, feel free to look at my small but adequate home which could accommodate 4 comfortably.
I look forward to hearing from you.....

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
My spacious 100 year old cottage is only a 15 minutes walk into the beautiful Spa Town of Harrogate. My home has 2 double bedrooms and a single bedroom which will accommodate 4 adults comfortably. There is a small shared bathroom with bath and overhead shower. Large fully fitted kitchen with back door to the back yard. Also a lovely conservatory which is unusual for this type of terraced property. Large dining room with upstairs access. The lounge is small but adequate with TV, DVD, Virgin Media Broadband and wifi. A small front garden with patio. My house is in a quiet area with local supermarket, hairdresser, pharmacy, butcher, green grocers, take away fish and chips and Chinese. I've enjoyed living here for the past 14 years since my daughters flew the nest!
I have an indoor cat called Flickie so depending on the exchange I can leave her here for you to play hide and seek with (because she’s a shy cat), or she could go into a cattery.

I have one indoor house cat but she will be in a cattery during your stay in my home unless you like cats and would love to have her curl up on your knee! I'm quite happy to look after a cat too on an exchange. I am very particular about cleanliness and will leave my house and yours spotless.
