Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Generally, we are interested in places with history, Scandanavian countries are high on our wish list. Also open to UK offers for short breaks.
Our home is light and bright, with a Scandinavian / New England vibe. We are inserted in homes that would inspire us visually, and would consider any location if the house was right. We are especially interested in interior design, and our favourite swaps have been those that inspired us with a colour scheme or a feature - for example, after one trip to the Lake District we bought the same pottery set.
Ours is a bright, light, modern, detached house just a few minutes walk from the beach. Many places to visit including Cambridge & London are just over an hour away. East Anglia is a beautiful part of the world, with lovely scenery and many places of historical interest including Sutton Hoo. Lots of art and craft places to visit.
Our home is ideal for a couple or family, with lots of space. In the main bedroom is a Superking, the other two bedrooms both have double beds. We also have a sofa bed in the TV room.
There is a conservatory, the kitchen has a generous seating ares with two sofas, we have a lounge with 2 sofas, and an upstairs tv room, so plenty of space to spread!
There are 3 bathrooms, all have a shower and two also have a bath.
We also have a lovely little beach hut which would be included in the swap, complete with deckchairs etc and a paddle board!
Our home has a large garden, and a conservatory. We are keen on art & design, so our house is carefully styled but also comfortable and welcoming.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Felixstowe has all a town could offer; a vintage cinema where food and drinks are brought to you in your seat, a leisure centre with a swimming pool / sauna / fitness classes, a Links golf course, excellent restaurants and shops. The beach is a short walk away, with a promenade and further along the boardwalk is a pier with amusements.
Felixstowe itself was made popular in the Edwardian period as a spa town, and still has spa gardens and a pavilion and pier. It has very good restaurants, a theatre (with a restaurant) and cinema, which are all close enough to walk to.
At the Ferry you can go crabbing or arrange to sail. There are beautiful walks to be had, and many decent pubs along the way. We also have a kayak in our beach hut, which you would be welcome to use.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Suffolk is a rural county, so there are great walks and British pubs. We also have lots of castles and stately homes. There are many areas of outstanding natural beauty, and reserves for bird-watching/seals nearby.
Suffolk is also a cultural area, with Snape Maltings for world-renowned concerts, many art galleries and whole towns full of antique shops (including the tudor town Lavenham). We are an hour from the University city of Cambridge, with the colleges and punting down the river, and also just over an hour by train to London. We are also about 1.5 hours to Norwich. So, we have easy access to cities, whilst still having all the beauty and attractions of the surrounding area.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We are a family of four, with two children (Amber & Eden) who are now fully grown and may or may not accompany us on any exchanges. Our home is not suitable for young children as we have a lot of art and interesting curios dotted around!
We have previously had many swaps, including several to New England but also to Norway, Denmark, France and places in the UK. We have always had great experiences and enjoy swapping homes.
Due to asthma & allergies we are unable to swap with any home that has cats, I'm afraid!
