We are a family of four. Nicky works in the shard and mum is currently a housewife. Thomas is in year 8 and Charley is in her last year of primary school. We are an active family - making lots of use of the commons (for dog walks, jogs, tennis. Football) - and also regularly fight over whose turn it is to use the peloton. We would like a chance to get away over the coming months and are looking for house swaps in the UK. We would love to be close to the sea, or lakes and/or have access to a good local swimming pool. We would ideally bring Luna with us, but my brother will look after her if that is not possible.

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We have beautiful 5 bed house (200 Sq m) in between the commons in south London. The ground floor was completely redone two years ago and is modern, stylish but comfortable. Neighbourhood has great amenities - parks, bars, restaurants - but is also less than 30 mins from central London and all the sights. The 5th bedroom is currently set up as a home study, but house still comfortably sleeps 7 (3 doubles and 1 single bed). We have a dog, so we also welcome well-behaved pets. There is a secure back garden and the common is minutes away for a longer walk. Off road parking available for a medium sized car or we can provide daily permits for parking outside the house. Our street has multiple charging points for those with an electric car.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live ‘between the commons’ (Clapham and Wandsworth common). These are both great spaces for a walk, jog or to play tennis. Balham, Clapham Common and junction (Northcote road) are walking distance and have a great choice cafes, restaurants and shops. Slightly further afield (15 mins on the tube or bus) is the more diverse offerings of tooting and Bristol. Clapham South is the nearest tube (5 mins walk) and it is only a 15 min ride on the northern line to Leicester Square for Chinatown, theatre and the sights.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
London has so much to offer, from the sights, to theatre, museums, the Royal parks, and an incredible range of food offerings. And almost everything can be reached within 30-45 mins from the house.
Doing a house swap means you don’t need to eat out all the time. We have a Sainsbury’s garage minutes from the house for your pint of milk/quick food shop. The nightingale patisserie sells the most amazing morning pastries and cakes. We have a bbq in the back garden you are welcome to use as well as a very well equipped kitchen.
Then for those days you can’t be bothered to cook, there are so many family and dog friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants as you walk towards Balham or Clapham. We will happily share a list of our favourites. From cheap and cheerful to more high end.

This is our primary home so we will empty some wardrobe space, but you must expect to find a well-equipped home that we encourage you to make the most of. We only ask that if you finish anything, that you note it down, so we know to replace it.
We have a dog so the home - whilst cleaned regularly - will not be allergy free. We also allow her onto the sofas (with a cover). If you bring your own pet, they can go upstairs if house-trained.
We are happy for our cleaner to continue to come in twice a week during your stay (at our expense). Otherwise she will come at the end of your stay to do a deep clean (we don’t expect you to do this).
