Attractions

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home

Valencia is a city full of exciting attractions that cater to a wide range of interests. One of the must-see destinations is the City of Arts and Sciences, a stunning complex of futuristic buildings designed by world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. The complex features an incredible structure known as the Hemisfèric, which is reminiscent of the Oculus in New York City.

This Valencian Cathedral is a magnificent Gothic-style cathedral, with a rich history dating back to the 13th century. It houses a number of important religious artifacts, including what is believed to be the Holy Grail.

Valencia also boasts a wealth of museums and cultural events. Visitors can explore the Fine Arts Museum or the Museum of Contemporary Art, both of which feature an impressive collection of works from local and international artists. Throughout the year, the city hosts a wide range of cultural events, including music festivals, art exhibits, and theatrical performances.

The city's rich architectural heritage encompasses a diverse range of styles and influences, including Roman, Arab, Gothic, Renaissance, and Modernist movements. Some of the most iconic examples of Gothic architecture in Valencia include the Valencia Cathedral, the Lonja de la Seda (Silk Exchange), and the Torres de Serranos (Serranos Towers). Another important architectural influence in Valencia is the Modernist movement, which emerged in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This style is characterized by its use of organic forms, curved lines, and decorative elements inspired by nature. Some of the most famous examples of Modernist architecture in Valencia include the Mercado Central (Central Market), the Estación del Norte (North Station), and the Casa de los Dragones (House of Dragons). Valencia also has a rich tradition of Arab architecture, which can be seen in the use of geometric patterns, ornate tilework, and intricate stonework. Some of the most striking examples of Arab architecture in Valencia include the Almudín (Old Silk Exchange) and the Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos (Castle of the Christian Monarchs).

Our Preferences

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

We are offering this apartment on Homelink because we are looking for fellow house owners who will treat the apartment as if it were their own home, being respectful of the property, its furnishings, and our neighbours.

Respect is very important to us, and we ask that guests be considerate of our neighbors and the community in general. This means keeping noise levels down, being considerate when entering and exiting the building, and treating everyone with kindness and respect.

We believe that house swapping is an opportunity to share experiences, cultures, and spaces with like-minded individuals. By treating each other's homes with the utmost respect and care, we can create a mutually beneficial and enjoyable experience for all.
