The Cuevas de Ojo Guareña and the hermitage of San Bernabe are a few minutes away by car. In the vicinity there are several houses and ancient manor towers, and even an acient castle. The beach is only an hour and a half away (Laredo, Santander), and the famous Guggenheim Museum (Bilbao) is also nearby. Visitors can also go to nearby city Burgos, (with its famous cathedral) or Frias (city that retains its medieval charm and with an incredible castle perched on top of the town). You can also visit the house "El Capricho", Gaudi´s work in the town of Comillas. There are churches and Romanesque buildings everywhere.
