A fantastic place to stay with wonderful hosts!! We had a really wonderful holiday:)

We are just home from an absolutely wonderful fortnight in Alicante at the home of Jose Manuel and Maria Alice. Their house is in a gated, immaculate cul de sac just metres from the beautiful beach of Playa San Juan, with a huge shared (but nearly always very empty) pool - the location really has to be seen to be believed! It surpassed all our expectations. It was absolutely amazing to be this close to a perfect sandy beach, to the warm, clear Mediterranean sea and to be able to walk to all the lovely restaurants, bars and shops of Playa San Juan each evening. We’ve also used the tennis court right opposite the house too. There is also a sailing school very nearby on the beach where you can rent paddle boards and kayaks, and a lovely beach cafe with loungers, umbrellas, food and even cocktails. And of course Alicante is on your doorstep, but we spent almost all our time on the beach, at the pool or snorkelling off the nearby headland. The house is traditional Spanish in style with all you could need. It has a small, basic but well equipped kitchen, and some wonderful extras such as air con (which we needed on a couple of very hot nights), a huge cool basement where the kids liked to play, and even Netflix! We had a few house glitches while we were there (an overnight power cut in the house and then loss of WiFi after a storm) but our hosts were constantly in contact via WhatsApp to help fix things. There are some houses being built on both sides of the house which we heard sometimes but this didn’t bother us. We would definitely recommend this swap!

A vere comfortable home in a very nice area of Alicante! It was my first home-exchange, and it feelt like a sucess!
