We are Katja and Udo, a German couple with two kids called Malte and Henry. Katja is a teacher and Udo works as project manager.
Our home is a detached family home in a lovely little village near Schwerin, the state capital of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the North-East of Germany. Surely not well-known abroad, Mecklenburg is the most popular German tourist area ranking on top. It is very attractive for tourists who want to enjoy a quiet beautiful landscape with many lakes, little rivers, long tree-lined avenues and untouched nature and last but not least the Baltic Sea. It is scarcely populated, so it is perfect for canoeing, golfing and cycling. Many little old castles, mansions and parks hosting a variety of fine classical concerts throughout the summer make this area so special. Our house is very close to the sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea (30min) and we are proud of our Hanse town Wismar (20min) with its vetust architecture.
Hamburg is an hour, Berlin two hours away.
