After being retired, I decided to settle in Portugal. I found a place and a home from which I dreamed since I was a child. Since 2018 with overtaking my flat at the famous cooperative "Möckernkiez e.G." at Berlin I could combine my roots to pure nature and sport, urban and rural life!

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
My flat is part of the "Möckernkiez e.G." one of the biggest and ökologic, multiculture & inclusion cooperatives. It has 43 squaremeter and this includes only one livingroom, kitchen and bathroom! This project took nearly 10 years for construction in own responsibility. This little village with around 450 flats, one hotel, one organic supermarket, vegetarian restaurant and other shops. My house is located at the parc side, so that I have a green view from the kitchen! From here you are able to walk or to go by bike to "Potsdamer Platz", Philharmonie or other points of interest.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
The neighbourhood is open , friendly and helpful. The philosophy of "Möckerniez" is multi cultural, multi age, for singles and families, people with disabilities! All houses are build as "passive houses", which means, the air is circulating through all flats and heating isn´t necessary at all. Heating system is installed ... but I idn´t use it at all.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The "museum for traffic and technologie" is about 5 minutes to walk! From here you can walk through the parc to Potsdamer Platz, Philharmonie and other highlights. If some buildings have a bigger distance, you can easyly take bus or metro. The metrostation "Yorkstraße" is 10 minutes to walk.
