I am a one-person family, living in the city center of Stockholm, in the township named Kungsholmen.
My two sons, 24 and 26, live nearby. I retired in 2018, after 18 years with the International Union of Tenants, IUT. Previously in life I was a high school teacher, in biology and chemistry, and also worked with the UN Association of Sweden.
Interests are sailing (my own boat), skiing (downhill and cross country, skating (in the archipelago) - and travelling. I have "discovered" India, which I have visited four times. Also hiking, in various European countries.
My flat, on 5th floor, consists of a bedroom, a spacious living room, hall, kitchen and an eating area. Size of flat: 75m2, or 807 feet2.
I am a city person, but I need access to nature. When moving around in the city, I use my bicycle.

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
A spacious one-bedroom flat in central Stockholm, in the district Kungsholmen. On 5th floor, out of 6 floors, with elevator. The flat consists of a living room w. open fireplace, with balcony, bedroom, kitchen, eating area, bathroom, and a guest toilet. Size of flat: 75 m2, or 807 feet2. Bed is 160 cm, or 63 inches, wide.
I also have a rather wide (90 cm) and long sofa (with an extra mattress) where I put up visiting guests.
My flat is only a couple of minutes from the waterfront, lake Mälaren. One of Stockholm's best cafes and restaurants is in my street, Petite France. Cafe opens 7 am, 7 days a week.

Train station, City Terminal, is a 20 minute walk. City Hall is nearby. Metro station Rådhuset - a short 5 min walk from my flat.
