Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Hello! We exchange our 95m² house in Pessac, which is a town well known for their famous wine. Our 2011 built house is near of the downtown of Pessac from where you can reach the train station of Bordeaux in 5 minutes!
The shops are close to the house (bakery, pastry shop and supermarket).
You will find a small swimming pool in the garden and a plancha (kind of barbecue).
For you comfort, you will have a large fridge and an oven. The large washing machine and dryer are located in the garage to avoid noise. TVs and Wifi are available. In front of the house, you will have a garage in which give you access to 2 bikes for adults and a bike for a 7 years old child and a bike for a 6 years old child. You can park safely your car in the courtyard of the house.

Concerning the activities, the district of Bellegrave has a skatepark, 2 basketball courts and a performance hall which hosts events such as concerts, community events or conferences (2 minutes on foot).
The city of Pessac has a cinema (10 minutes on foot).
Nearby shops, pharmacy and first restaurants are within 10 minutes walk. The hospital is less than 10 minutes drive.
My neighbor is a mechanic and has its own garage.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
The city of Pessac has a water stadium with slides, diving boards and wave pool (10 minutes by car), a golf course and a zoo (20 minutes by car).
You can walk, run or cycle at the Bois du Burck located in the nearby town of Mérignac (8 minutes by car).
Pessac has some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world less than 15 minutes by car such as Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion, Château Haut-Brion, Château Pape Clément, ...
The Bourgailh forest has a Pumptrack tracks and a skatepark (20 minutes by car). It is ideal for teenagers whom practice skateboard and bike. The Bourgailh forest has also a beach soccer court, a basket court and a climbing wall.
Lake Bordeaux offers nautical activities such as canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing, paddling and fishing (35 minutes by car). Pessac is located 1h15 from the beaches of Lacanau (ideal for surfing) and 1h from Arcachon.

In the garden you will be welcomed by Chewbacca - our dwarf lion head bunny - and Master Yoda - our turtle. You will have to make sure that Chewbacca has some granules in his bowl. He often asks for a cracker or 1/2 carrot in the morning. Yoda eats salad and likes to bite the toes :)
