My husband and I and our two younger children (our oldest daughter now works), Michael, 17, and Candice, 13, love to travel and have completed many exchanges on other platforms. We will take excellent care of your home and leave it impeccably clean, and ask the same of you in ours. Home exchanges are a fantastic way to have the same luxuries on holiday that we are used to at home - a spacious and beautifully-decorated, fully-equipped home in a great area. Car exchanges are also a plus for overseas destinations. Non-simultaneous exchanges are possible with our ski chalet. We look forward to this win-win plan with you!

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Large Swiss-style mountain chalet located in beautiful Val d'Allos, France. On three levels, this bright and welcoming chalet offers fantastic views all over the valley, lake and mountains of Val d'Allos. It has four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Fully equipped kitchen, large flat screen TV, wifi, piano, front deck with panoramic views where you can dine, back deck where you also can dine, free parking in front. Built in 2006 by my architect husband, it has been our family's favourite vacation spot for all these years. Beautifully and comfortably decorated, it provides everything you need for a lovely holiday, be it for skiing in the winter, hiking/biking/swimming in the summer, or just relaxing and enjoying the beauty and silence of the alpine décor. Not suitable for handicapped, no wheelchair access, but stairs leading from the carpark to the chalet. Excellent for families or couples who enjoy nature.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is friendly and quiet. People love to walk around the ski resort and enjoy the views. You can walk from the chalet to the village (about 8 minutes down), and from there take the "eggs" (ski lifts) down to the lake or up to the slopes. These lifts also work in the summer for hiking or just going for a scenic ride. The air is lovely and at night the skies are spectacularly dark and filled with bright stars. Perfect for those who enjoy a peaceful, beautiful setting, or for the athletic!

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our chalet, it is a five-minute drive to the slopes in winter or summer. Mountain biking is available and the ski lifts transport the bikers up the slopes from where they careen down, exciting but dangerous... Hiking along the summits is also an option from the top of the ski lifts in summer. There is an alpine restaurant from which to enjoy spectacular views. For avid cyclists, this is heaven! There is also an equestrian club and there are two nearby lap pools. Horseback riding is available, as is rock climbing, hang-gliding, yoga and meditation!

Our Preferences
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We ask that our guests do a thorough final cleaning (or hire a cleaning lady) in order to leave the chalet in perfect order, as they found it. Cleaning products can be found under the kitchen sink and in both bathrooms. Please launder the sheets, fold them and place them on the beds; please also launder all towels and dishtowels used. Garbage can be placed in the appropriate bins found opposite the 'Plein Soleil' Hotel just below us. Please respect the quiet nature of this neighbourhood - no loud music outdoors. Please close all the shutters when leaving and lock the chalet; we will communicate as to where to leave the keys.
