Our Preferences

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules

Exchange proposals welcome from South east Brisbane early March 2020. Always welcome are New Zealand destinations. Exchange proposals from Denmark and Sweden for a trip planned in 2021.

We've been a member since 2011 and have had 13 exchanges - 4 in Europe, 4 in Canada, 1 in Australia and 4 in New Zealand. We look after our exchange partner's home as if it were our own and have found this to be returned in kind. We have compiled a comprehensive room-to-room house guide and tips for living in our home. Ahead of the exchange, we email the guide to our exchange partner for reading and for any questions about our home. We have found that some of our exchange partners have done the same and this works very well.

We have found that exchanges work smoothly when there has been plenty of contact between the parties ahead of time and this is the way we prefer to prepare for the exchange.
