From our house, there is short walk to the sea, a lake, hiking trails and woods. There is a fifteen minute walk / two minute drive to grocery stores, and a 10/15 minute drive to the city center with all that Bergen has to offer. Bergen is the second largest city in Norway. Worldwide it would be counted as a small city/town with about 265 000 residents. The city was founded in 1070, and is both historical and modern. Bergen provides a small town feel and atmosphere that makes the cultural and shopping experience unique. There is always something going on here, whether it's a concert, a party or an anniversary. Since Bergen is a smaller city, the distances are shorter and the overall feeling more compact. There are also a lot of attractions, shopping malls and more outside the city center.
