We are a family of five. Me, my housband Lennart and our children Magnus(20), Bjørnar(17) and Emma(15). My husbound works at the FSA and I as a bioengineer at the hospital in Ålesund. Our oldest son is in the military at the moment and the two youngest at school. We are an activ family and use much of our sparetime outdoor.

We have only one neighbor and it is a nice couple from Latvia with a little boy of one year. They speak very good English and are very friendly.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Our house is located in the countryside in Ålesund municipality. But it is also central to the Moa shopping center, which is a 10-minute drive away. (Moa Shopping Center is one of Norway's largest shopping malls.) At Moa you will also find swimming pools, cinemas and resturants. 20 minutes away is the town center of Ålesund with its beautiful buildings and narrow alleys. www.visitalesund.com
In Ålesund you will find cozy cafes, small shops, museums, cinema and theater. If you like mountain hiking, here are many opportunities. You have the Sunnmøre Alps and many other nice mountain walks in the area. From the house you can hike to Rødlandstua which is a 40 minute walk with great view far out to the sea. Day trips to Molde, Geiranger or the bird island Runde are recommended. As well as a trip to Alnes lighthouse with the possibility for a hike to Storhornet, or a trip to Langevågen and the Devold factory.
