You may go for nice walks along a river in the neighborhood, just stroll the residential area, with small park and in summer "colony gardens" or even walk through a historical area with old wooden homes (Vålerenga or Kampen) to the city center. Enjoy easy public transport to bring you to all attractions, like the Holmenkollen ski jump and simulator, Astrup Fearnley museum with its famous Michael Jackson sculpture or a sculpture park. The shopping mall "Oslo City" is at the metro Oslo central station. The metro take 10 minutes to the central station. You will usually wait less than 5 minutes for the next train in daytime, and 10 minutes evenings and weekends. The train use only 4 minutes to the central station, but it is around 10 min walk from apartment to the train station.
