Our family is Edvard (2012), Sigurd (2011), Eyvind and Linda. Sigurd and Edvard enjoy playing trumpet, trombone, theatre, magic and gaming. Eyvind works as a musician in a Norwegian wind ensemble called The Norwegian Army Band. Linda works with concerts for young audiences in the county council of Vestfold. We like to travel, walk in the monutains, cycle, meet nice people, eat good food, and learn new thing. We have had some really nice exchanges, and are so grateful for this way of getting to know new places.

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
We have an exchange for July 2024. But we are open for exchanges in October, Christmas, Easter and summer 2025!
Our house is comfortable, practical, and ideal for both families with children, and others who appreciate to stay close to the city and the sea.
Tolvsrød is an attractive erea, midways between Tønsberg city (4 km) and the fantastic beach Ringshaug (2 km). You could reach all the most interesting spots by bike. Within walking distance, you find beaches, cafes, training centre, woods, many playgrounds and what you need of basic shops and cafes. There are ferries taking you out to some of the islands for a daytrip.
The nighboughood is quiet and friendly with a playgroup next door.
Tønsberg is the eldest city in Norway, known as the summer city and for a friendly climate, and it is also famous for the vikings. In the summer, this is a popular holiday erea with short distance to many charming, small villages and cities, and the beautiful coast with all its islands. Oslo is also a very interesting city, only one hour with the train from Tønsberg.
If you want to go hiking in the mountains you find several nice places within 1-2 hours drive.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Tolvsrød is a popular and central erea in Tønsberg, close to beaches, and all basic shops within walking distance.
Our neighbourhoos is ideal for families with children, with many neighbouring playgrounds, many children and little traffic. Our garden is very private, and we have "our own" playground next door (the nighbours playground).
Tønsberg is the eldest city of Norway, and for Norwegians known as the summer city. The harbour with its old wooden buildings, restaurants and bars, festivals and shows, is a popular place. Tønsberg is situated by the Norwegian "sun coast" with all the charming "Vestfold cities" only a short drive away (within 20-30 minutes drive you come to Åsgårdstrand, Horten, Sandefjord and Larvik).
It is 1 hour to Oslo by car or train, and 30 minutes to Sandefjord Airport Torp.
Ps: Norway is not so expencive this year because of the valuta of the NOK. So 2024 is a economic year for holiday in Norway?
