I work as a teacher at upper secondary school where I teach Norwegian language, culture and history, and my husband work as a CFO at a family company called ANDA OLSEN AS. We have two wonderful boys, Noah and Brage, born in 2014 and 2016.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Note: We have already made plans exchange for the summer of 2019. See our dates and destinations for further possibilities.
Our house has fantastic views of the Heissafjord and close to the city, Aalesund (5 minutes by car), in a quit and family friendly area. We are in a fantastic hiking area, only 500 meters to the start of the Sukkertoppen (approx. 45 minutes to the top), and Tueneset where you will find the Atlantic sea park.
We have 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The main bedroom downstairs has one 180x200 cm bed. The two kid rooms have one 90x200 cm bed, and one baby crib (from ages 0 – 3). In both of the kid rooms, we can put up two inflatable beds of high quality (140x200x22cm and 90x191x22cm). Upstairs we have one bedroom connected to a bathroom with shower. This bed is 140x200 cm.
The grocery store (Kiwi Skarbøvik) is approx. 4 minutes away by car and it is 5 minutes to the center of Aalesund, or 45 minutes walk to the city center. We have 2 parking spaces and it is possible to use 4 community parking spaces as well.
Play areas for children are in the area.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our house is close to the sea with small sandy beaches. We are in a fantastic hiking area with Sukkertoppen (some what difficult) and several smaller hiking trails suitable for everyone. Our house is also close to Tueneset where you also will find the Atlantic sea park.
Grocery store (Kiwi Skarbøvik) is approx. 4 minutes away by car and it is 5 minutes to the center of Ålesund, or 45 minutes walk to the city center. We have 2 parking spaces and it is possible to use 4 community parking spaces as well.
Play areas for children are in the area - withing 100 meters.
In the city you will find restaurants, cafes, shopping center and many more things to do.
We would highly recommend renting a car (or using ours - we have an electric car). To travel around Norway, a car is essential.

From our house you will find the city of Aalesund only 5 minutes away by car. Here you can enjoy restaurants, cafes, shops and much more. Our city is located on the western coast of Norway, close to the beautiful Geiranger.
