Spectacular Mahinepua peninsular walk starts 100m from house. Several beaches, including a surf beach (Matauri Bay) are within a 10 min drive. Whangaroa harbour and marina 15 min drive. Resort and championship golf course, Kauri Cliffs, is 20 min drive away. Nearest major town is historic Kerikeri, a 40 min drive. Ancient kauri forest walks 45min drive.
