We are a family of 6: Dick, Rolinda (both 48) and 4 daughters (Luna 20, Elva 18, Lodé 18, Edin 12). Dick is manager of an employment agency, Rolinda is pedague, owner of a day-care and interim special needs coordinator in primary education. Luna is studying medicine in Amsterdam, Elva has her exam of highschool this year, Lodé is studying urban development and Edin is in her first year of secundary school.
We love travelling, meeting other cultures, trying new food and enjoying nature. We have different hobbies such as cycling, soccer, hiking, reading, crafts, visiting towns, museums etc.

Excellent opportunities for watersports, walking, cycling, golf. Public swimmingpool and forest with swimming water within 10 min drive, 15 min drive from lakes, Giethoorn (Dutch Venice) and National parc 'De Weerribben' and much more to explore! Nearest city 10 min drive, Amsterdam 1.15 hrs drive, Germany 1hr drive.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our neighbourhood is a very quiet area where kids can play safely outside. There are a lot of playgrounds nearby. We have very friendly neighbours. Library, bakery, café and busstop are within walking distance. Our house is situated at the edge of the residential area, very close to the farmlands. At the other edge of the residential area there's a long road just across Rouveen and Staphorst with the typical monumental farmhouses with bright colours Staphorst is known from. The area has lots of opportunaties to be explored by bike, car or wandering.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Op loopafstand van ons huis vind je een bakkerij, café, snackbar, bibliotheek, benzinepomp met bloemencorner. Dwars door Rouveen en Staphorst slingert een lange weg langs de lintbebouwing met monumentale boerderijen in de typisch Staphorster kleuren. In Rouveen/Staphorst wordt nog dagelijks klederdracht gedragen. In de zomer worden er Staphorstdagen georganiseerd waarop de klederdracht en andere dingen uit de Staphorster cultuur te bekijken zijn. In Meppel wordt de hele zomer elke Donderdag Meppeldag georganiseerd met allerlei activiteiten en concerten.
