MEMBERS SINCE 2010-Whakatane is in the sunny Bay of Plenty- house situated close to town centre-5 minutes walk to river and walkway,15 minutes walk to town and harbour, 10 minutes drive to beautiful flat and safe Ohope beach-1 hour drive to beach and Port at Tauranga and Mount Maunganui, 1 hour drive to Lakes and Thermal city of Rotorua, 2 hour drive to Lake Taupo-we have many attractions eg swimming with the dolphins,whale watching,excursions to White Island[active volcano]-Farmers' market each Sunday, craft market every month at Ohope.

We have a quiet neighbourhood with easy access to the river, wharf, The Heads, parks, walking tracks and shopping centres. Neighbours are friendly.
We are within walking distance to town and a bus that will take you to the beautiful and safe Ohope beach.
From our house it is an 8 minute walk to the paved 5 kilometre track along the river bank. Turn right to the town, Information Centre, cafes and restaurants. Turn left, walk across the bridge to The Hub (shopping centre) and Coastlands.

We have many Tourist attractions- Whale Watching, Swimming with the Dolphins, White Island Tours (active volcano) Fishing excursions, wonderful bush, farm lands and coastal walks, Tarawera Falls and swimming at Ohope Beach. We are 1 hour by car from Tauranga and Mount Maunganui. A beautiful 1hour drive around the lakes to Rotorua ( Thermal Wonderland) and 2 hours to Lake Taupo.
