Gorgeous home and splendid garden.
Jenette and Bruce’s beautiful home has been faithfully extended and renovated with a view to retaining its period charm. The home is complemented by a garden lover’s delight and a testament to years of hard work and devotion. Their home is well located; a walk from the high street and within easy access to shops and supermarkets. The use of their car allowed us to enjoy occasional day trips to wonderful attractions further afield.

Timaru is very central, coastal, and an easy drive to Christchurch, Dunedin, or the Central & Mackenzie high country lakes, mountains and vineyards.
Our home has a lovely indoor outdoor flow with private outdoor eating areas and is just a few minutes walk from Caroline Bay, city centre, movie theatre, cafes and supermarkets.
A 1920's spacious wooden home, beds are a King and Queen, kitchen and both bathrooms were fully renovated in 2009.
Great opportunities for walking and cycling. Timaru also has it's own airport with flights to and from Wellington daily.

Our neighborhood is an older and fairly quiet area, although very close to main roads, the beach and the central business district (all within walking distance), and a 10 minute drive can take you into the countryside where you can reach the Lakes or ski fields with a 90 minute drive or less.There are also good opportunities for fishing within an hours drive.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Only a 6 or 7 minute walk to the beach, shops, movie theatre, cafes, and supermarket. Can be at the lake and mountains within 90 minutes by car. Timaru is a very central point for the rest of the South Island, and an airport gives easy access to the North Island - 1 hour flights to Wellington each day. We always give our exchange partners a list of our favourite cafes, shopping areas etc.
