We are happy to "Host" as well as do non simultaneous and simultaneous exchanges.
Since retiring from full time work, and becoming grand parents, our days are busy. Our daughters and husbands and grand children live with in an hour and a half drive from us. As we have a fully self contained caravan, we often use this while staying with them. Gives us "olds" an escape plan and space of our own.
We also maintain investment property, that although managed for us, always need a bit of maintenance every year to keep them up to scratch.
In our "down time" you will find Kevin an active member of the local Menz Shed, who do community projects, Megan supporting them in this and part of a local book club, biking local tracks, walking the beach, gardening and hanging out with friends for shared dinners or having coffee at the local cafe's, soaking in the Lost Springs Hot Pools at Whitianga, followed by a trip to the movies...at seniors prices!
Local restaurants have superb food, local fresh sea catches, when in season.
Over the last few years we have been travelling in the New Zealand winter, and have made great friends with our homelink exchanges. May it continue.

MEMBERS SINCE 2013.
WE HAVE ARRANGED ALL OUR EXCHANGES FOR 2023 FOR UK and SCOTLAND, BUT ARE OPEN TO OTHER DESTINATIONS IN 2024 AND 2025. Our home is on a safe white sands surf beach and fully contained. We are retired in our mid 60's. Megan worked as a children's dentist for 35 years, employed by New Zealand government, Kevin in retail and investment. Best months to visit are Sept to Dec and February thru to May.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Pauanui is a beautiful up market area on the Coromandel Peninsula. We have a 4 minute walk to the safe surf beach along the reserve beside our house. A favorite escape for city dwellers as it is an easy drive from Auckland. Busy in the peak season of Christmas new Year, it settles down to a lazy hazy summer holiday location for the rest of summer, with surfers and boaties and lots of children's play grounds. Pilots of small aircraft fly in to their holiday homes.
The village, 5 minutes stroll away, offers local cafes, a small supermarket, library, medical center, hairdresser and selective specialist shops.

We are 4 minutes walk to the safe surf beach, and provide boogey boards for body surfing which are great to use.
The Coromandel Peninsula is a popular tourist destination. Pauanui is on the eastern side. Day trips up and around the peninsula are a comfortable days outing.Check out Hot Water beach...dig a hole in the surf beach and create your own warm thermal pool. Take a chartered fishing/diving trip from nearby Taurua.
