My name is Marion and I live in Amsterdam where I work as a coordinator at the University of Arts. Among other things I organise study trips for groups of students to museums inland and abroad.
I love cooking, gardening, going to museums, theatre and cinema and I have a passion for traveling by train within Europe to see the different landscapes and to visit historical cities and their culture, history and language. To balance the city buzz I love the sea and nature.
I’m open minded and easy going and love to discover other countries and cities by exchanging homes. Over the years I have done several exchanges with my daughter who now has her own place and works in photography and the cultural field as well. We still like to travel together every now and then, but mostly I travel by myself these days (or sometimes with a friend).
My apartment is nice, cosy and green with several plants, easy to reach in a quiet and safe neighborhood in Amsterdam. It has a lovely terrace with many plants where you can sit and relax after strolling around. Do feel welcome!

Lovely light, 1 bedroom 60m2 apartment with 20m2 roof terrace in Rivierenbuurt-area in Amsterdam.
On 4th floor, just stairs (no lift).
My apartment has one bedrooms and a light, spacious living next to our roof terrace.
Comfortable, central heating, fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with shower and separate toilet. One bedroom with a double bed, the other room is a study room.
Maximum 2 persons.
Friendly, quiet area however near shops, market, restaurants and River Amstel and parks.
Trams, buses/train/metrostation around the corner.
15-20 minute walk to historic center of Amsterdam with canals, museums, theatres, shops, etc.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our house it't a short walk to the river Amstel, to the Pijp and it's Albert Cuyp market. There are several nice restaurants close by, as well as shops.
The Rivierenbuurt is know for it's architecture called The Amsterdamse School built in the beginning of the 1900's. In my street and neighborhood you find lot's of examples from that period.
