Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our home has large living room and dining room and library/den. Two bedrooms in the main casa, both have king size beds. Master bedroom has beautiful bath and separate shower, 2nd bedroom has shower. In addition there is a casita with 2 bedrooms (double bed in one, twin beds in the other) and bathroom with shower. House sleeps 8 total. A large garden, between the main house and the casita, with a swimming pool and a spa. A porch near the casa has a barbeque. Casita porch has view of house and pool. See photos. Kitchen has 3D tile, usual appliances. Our housekeeper (5 and 1/2 days a week) is excellent cook, used to work in a local restaurant. A real Mexican feel to the casa, dining room, living room and kitchen all flow together. 3700 sq. feet so plenty of space on both 1st and 2nd floor. Den has TV and 2 phones, one for Mexico calls, the other a Vonage phone for direct calls to United States, no charge for you or the receiving party. Den has view to pool and casita.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our home is in the center of San Miguel de Allende, a very safe, artistic colonial town in central Mexico. Very safe, no crime problems. Wonderful weather all year round. 10 to 15 minute walk to the very center of town, El Jardin. Taxis very easy from our home. No need to call, 1/2 block to main street with many taxis. 1 block to the Art Institute. Many restaurants of many types within 10 minutes walking of our home (Mexican, Italian, Indian, French, Thai, Chinese.) Population approx 100,000 with 10,000 full-time Americans/Canadians.

Our home is quite near the center of San Miguel. Very artistic, colonial community. San Miguel population is approximately 100,000 (with 10,000 full time U.S./Canadians.) We know this wonderful town quite well and will give you a list of our favorite restaurants, theaters, walking trails, parks, etc.
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
We have a swimming pool and spa (see photos) so visiting children should be able to swim. We have a housekeeper, a delightful woman, who comes 5 and 1/2 days per week. She is an excellent cook, previously worked in a restaurant here in San Miguel.
