60 year old attorney who loves to travel--I work in Hood River so if you stay at the condo I can meet with you and give you some tips about places to go etc.although all you really need to do is look out the window to see the river or take a short drive around town.
-I bought my lot in Baja in 1998 and have been building/working on it ever since. It is now very comfortable yet still modest. It is indoor/outdoor living at it's best. I know many if not most of the locals by now and they are great people. The kind of small town, get to know the people traveling that I like. If you have a place in a small town or rural area in Europe or some other fun place I'm interested.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Small and simple but nice 2 story home, lots of covered outdoor patio space including an upstairs patio with fantastic views of the Sea of Cortes. The house is in the wonderful small village of El Sargento/La Ventana Baja California Sur. 2 bedrooms (1 queen 1 queen) two full bathrooms.(beautiful new bathroom next to the main upstairs main bedroom) Satellite tv with both Spanish and English stations and dvd player.
El Sargento is about 45 minutes SE of La Paz BCS Mexico and it's international airport. About 2 hours North of Los Cabos airport. Sometimes there are direct flights from Los Angeles to La Paz--right now there is not (Aug 2016) There are many flights to Los Cabos. SPECTACULAR views of the Sea of Cortez and Cerralvo Island. 500 meters to water. This is one of top locations in the world for windsurfing-kiteboarding along with Hood River Oregon(have condo in Hood River available also). During the winter season there are a lot of people in town and the town transforms into a destination for sports buffs. This is a great area with all you need.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Small, friendly former fishing village which is now a popular destination for many activities such as fishing or just about any water sports. Near the wonderful city of La Paz Baja California Sur. About 2 hours North of Los Cabos. The house is a great jumping off spot for exploring all of Southern Baja, Los Cabos 2 hours, Todos Santos 90 minutes, Loreto 4 hours. The village itself has everything you need in terms of stores, small restaurants and things to do. The area is very safe. The people are very nice and it's just a great place to relax. Best whale watching in the world is about 4 hours North Jan -April. Contact me for more information.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
In the winter this is THE area for windsurfing and kiteboarding. Just about the best place in the world---at least in the top three along with Hood River Oregon and Maui. There are many places where you can get lessons if you are new to it. This is also one of the top places in the world for saltwater sport fishing. More marlin are caught in the area around Cabo then anywhere. I have caught 2 marlin and a sailfish off my own boat and I'm a marginal fisherman. Great snorkeling and diving.
3 hours North is Magdalena Bay where in the spring you can go see hundreds of Grey Whales in the bay where they have their babies. I've been 3 times and have seen amazing things. It is the experience of a lifetime.
La Paz, Los Cabos and Todos Santos all nearby.

Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
Prefer to do trades with others who have vacation homes just because it is so much easier. Love Europe especially Italy but open to other ideas also. We don't need a big house of anything really fancy. We are much more interested in the area then the house or apartment itself although we do appreciate a good view. Close to the sea is a big plus also.
The Rancho has a small interior space but is made for outdoor living. It is spacious when you include the area of the three covered patios. The best time to go is Nov through May. You DO NOT WANT TO GO in the summertime unless you like extremely hot weather and in the summertime humid weather. Children are ok except for small children---stairs and things like cactus
