Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Our quaint, cozy, bright 1924 cottage sits on a 10,500 square foot lot; it is gated and 6 houses from the ocean in leafy Oak Bay, ten minutes from Downtown Victoria. Our house is modest from the outside and wonderfully comfortable on the inside.
Upstairs on the main level are the main bedroom and bathroom, as well as a TV/den/sitting room which has a tv/dvd player. A second guest bedroom with a new sofa bed and bathroom is in the basement. Access to the basement is from outside only. The fully-equipped kitchen on the main floor is large and sits beside a sunny backyard-facing eating area and laundry room. Plus, there is an elegant old-world formal dining room that seats six comfortably. The living room is quite large, has a wood-burning fireplace and is attached to a second sunroom which has a sofa bed in it.. Sleeping capacity for our house is nominally 2, but is actually 6 in a pinch (two double sofa beds).
The large back garden and terrace are a great place to barbecue, have a coffee, or a glass of wine., etc. 2722 Bowker is just 6 houses away from the sea and lovely Willows Beach which has a beautiful ocean-front promenade--perfect for long walks. It is a short walk to Oak Bay Village or Estevan Village. All things in Oak Bay are just steps away, or just up the road. You could spend your entire exchange here in Victoria hiking, biking and walking, golfing, shopping, and boating.
The rest of Vancouver Island which has enough tourist destinations to keep you busy for weeks; a car is needed for up- island trips.
The garden will be watered automatically and the lawn will be purposefully left dormant (yellow) so that no lawn watering or cutting will be needed.
