We are a family of three well-experienced exchangers. Our son, Liam is 20 years old and lives and attends University in the beautiful city of Victoria, 1 hour south of us. Liam won't be travelling with us. We are a tidy family and will leave your home sparkling clean. We love travelling and have exchanged 12 times previously - 1 exchange to Holland, 8 to Australia and 3 to the mountains of BC. We have loved every one of our exchanges and don't want to travel any other way. We travel throughout the world and also love to do weekend exchanges closer to home.

Our Home For Exchange
Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Welcome to Duncan and Vancouver Island! Our home is architecturally designed with everything you need. It is an open-plan design with original artwork throughout. We are on a quiet, dead-end street with very friendly neighbours, all of whom we know well. Our home overlooks a lake and fields. The main bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There are two full bathrooms upstairs, and downstairs we have a third bedroom with TV and pull-out double bed.
We welcome families with or without children. Our 20 year-old son will be living and attending university in Victoria (1 hour south of us) while we travel.
We have two gorgeous cats, Red and Charlie. They both love affection. If our exchangers go away we have friends who will look after them.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
In true Canadian style, our home overlooks a lake and we are surrounded by fields. We live in a semi-rural area so even though we are only a 7 minute drive to town, our home allows you to relax and rejuvenate after touring the local wineries, learning about the First Nation's art and history or returning after trying out some of the many outdoor activities and adventures. We are only a few minute's drive to the nearest trails for hiking or biking. It's a lovely 10 km bicycle ride around our lake and we have bicycles for our exchangers to use.

Duncan is on Vancouver Island, ranked North America's top island to visit. Yes, that's in the whole of North America! Vancouver Island sits off the south-west coast of the Canadian mainland. Duncan is a small and very sweet town and has a reputation as the "boutique capital" of Vancouver Island. It also has the cultural honour of being the City of Totems. Duncan's Saturday market has been voted best market in British Columbia. It operates all year long and sells local organic produce, hand-made crafts, cheese etc; you can even do some wine tasting!
