Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Obviously as long as there is no COVID vaccine, we will not be travelling overseas, nor, probably, outside BC. We had planned to be in NZ for Christmas, but that is, I'm afraid, not going to happen - perhaps next year?
The Victoria area has most benign climate in Canada with temperate temperatures throughout the year. Summers are generally dry and warm - ideal for outdoor activities - and September is often a lovely month here. Our home is on one level on a very quiet cul-de-sac close to the ocean. Our garden is full of unuual plants. Most visitors whale watch, hike, cycle, kayak, golf and enjoy the scenery. We are withing easy distance of both Vancouver and Seattle. See our personal Web page http://www.robinmcneil.ca for many more details of the house and things to do and see while here.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We are about 1.5 km from Oak Bay Village which, though a suburb of Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, retains a village charm and has all the amenities for day to day living. We are about 3 blocks from the sea and the area is full of character homes and lovely walks.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
Victoria is known as the City of Gardens and, for most of the year, is full of floriferous splendour. Access to Seattle and Vancouver is very easy by ferry although both are rather far for a day trip. Victoria is at the southern tip of Vancouver Island which is quite mountainous and almot 500 km long with many interesting places to visit and scenery to explore.
Our home exchange - here are our Preferences and House Rules
Our house has 3 double beds, one queen, and 2 standard doubles. We are really not set up for small children and would rather exchangers were adults. We generally stay home for July and August and over the Christmas holidays, making the home unavailable for those times. We would rather not have exchange parties of more than 4 people. Minimal indoor plant care requested.
