I am a psychotherapist, recently retired . Love quirky humour, cats and dogs, which is why I would love to care for your pet. My French is good, my Spanish is passable. I am fairly quiet, but sociable I do not drink or do any drugs, or smoke anything. On the other hand, neither am I a saint. :-))

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
I live in the upper two floors of my heritage house (1908) in Vancouver. It has a view of downtown, garden, two balconies, in suite washer and dryer. It is on a quiet, tree lined street. A seven minute walk to rapid transit, and then a bout the same to downtown. It is 12 blocks from the false creek waterfront, leading to the ocean. The neighbourhood has lots of shops, cafes, restaurants. It is at the intersection of two major bike lanes. My bike is available, as are the city bikes, about two blocks from me.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Near Main Street, one of Vancouver's trendier neighbourhoods, but good access to Olympic Village on the waterfront, also near some parks. The neighbourhood is lovely for strolling; it is safe and clean. The house is an eight minute walk from the Canada Line, which you can take from the airport. From the same station continuing downtown is about another 7 minutes to central Vancouver, near the art gallery, movie theatres, the West End. There are coffee shops all over-- it seems you could trip all over them. Great ones very close to the house.
