I really enjoyed my exchange with Fred and Eleanor. Their house is very comfortable and a short walk to downtown with a fantastic range of shops and resturants and also to to the beautiful walks along the lake Fred and Eleanor were great at communicating both before and during the exchange.

We really enjoyed our time in Fred and Eleanor's historic house. We think our place in Bristol is old (1860) but were trumped by the beautiful home built by Michael Quinn from Ireland (Shoemaker) in 1855! There were details of the history of Oakville everywhere we went in the town which was fascinating. We did not hire a car but managed on public transport. It worked well - going into Toronto to see the baseball, the wonderful art gallery and the CN Tower and visiting Niagara (unmissable). Many thanks for the exchange.

We found this a great base for discovering Toronto and Niagara yet with good shopping and restaurants close by.
