We are a travel loving family who, ironically, are also a bunch of home bugs. We love spending time together in our cozy home. Three of us are very musically gifted, the girls have been involved with the Montreal School Board choir since grade 3, and they and my husband play the guitar, the ukelele and the piano. I, on the other hand, couldn't hold a tune if my life depended on it...my artistic outlet is writing. We love the home that we built in 2009, our neighbours and our neighbourhood. During the year we're all very busy with school (I'm working on a second degree at Concordia University), activities (choir, ballet, Model United Nations, band practice, etc.), so we reconnect when we travel together. Lately, our travels have included beach clean up (we did it in Nova Scotia 2 years ago and again in Italy this past year) and hopefully, at some point, we would like to volunteer at a Galgo (Spanish Greyhound) rescue centre in Spain. We are fun loving, super social, respectful and trying hard to be more physically active.

Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Spacious, sunny, modern new home built in 2009 in the west end of the city of Montreal proper, only a 15 minute drive to downtown Montreal, home of the Formula 1, the International Jazz Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival, Osheaga, the International Fireworks Competition and endless other activities. We live on a quiet, residential street with wonderful neighbours.
Our home has a lofty feel to it as it is open concept on the first floor. The first floor alone is 1200 Sq ft and includes the living room, kitchen, reading area and powder room. The bedrooms on the second floor include a master bedroom which has its own ensuite bathroom, and two other rooms which each have double beds and share a second bathroom.
We also have a very large basement (1200 Sq ft) with it’s own bathroom, a large washer and dryer and a guest room with a queen sized bed. In total, the house can comfortably accommodate eight people.
We have a lovely deck and a yard. In the shed you will find bicycles which you can ride to the terrific network of bicycle paths along the Saint Laurence river. Along the bicycle path there are quaint restaurants and lots of activities to do in the summer. Montreal is a safe, vibrant city.
Optionally, we can make our family cars (a 2016 Audi A4 and a Fiat 500) available.
