Description of the home we are offering for exchange
Comfortable modern seaside home with all the amenities - walk-on beach where you can swim and kayak right from our front door. Lovely seaside deck to sip your wine and watch the sunset. In fact, our sea front is called "Sunset Beach".
Our home has two bedrooms - master with ensuite bathroom - guest bedroom with two single beds that can be converted to a King Size. Newly renovated kitchen with gas range, fridge, dishwasher & microwave. Large utility room with washer & dryer. We have two kayaks for your use and a large paddle board.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Our walk-on waterfront home is located in a semi rural area near all shops and amenities. Our neighborhood is safe with friendly neighbours who are here to help you with any questions. Close by is a major shopping centre and the City of Nanaimo is 20 minutes away by car.
Nanaimo is a waterfront city with numerous excellent restaurants, theatres, 20 minute float plane access to Vancouver, and a fascinating seawall walk. 10 minute foot ferry access to Newcastle Island, a huge marine park with wonderful walking trails. Victoria is 1 and 1/2 hours away by car. The wild west coast of the Island is a gorgeous 3 hour drive away.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
From our house, you can easily access beautiful forest walks, seaside parks, river and ocean fishing, small villages with many cafes and restaurants. Several golf course are within a short drive. Two large shopping centres with a large variety of stores and movie theatres.
Many recreational activities nearby including whale watching, golf courses, wilderness hiking, fishing. Take a 20 minute seaplane ride from Nanaimo's harbour to downtown Vancouver. Day trip to Olympic Village at Whistler. Overnight drive to Banff/Lake Louise in the Rockies. Direct flight from Europe to Vancouver. Victoria, the capital of British Columbia is a pleasant 1 1/2 hour drive. B.C. Ferry terminal is located in Nanaimo and runs ferries to mainland every two hours.Vancouver.
