We are open to offers from September 2019 and beyond.
Our home is in Okanagan Centre, a small community in Lake Country, close to Okanagan Lake in the middle of beautiful British Columbia. The Okanagan Valley is a wine lovers paradise with many wineries in our area. We live in a vacation destination offering various golf courses, hiking trails, wineries and orchards as well as lazy days spent at the many beaches. The climate is mainly warm and dry in summer. Our nearest town is Winfield, 7 mins drive, where there are adequate shops, pubs, restaurants and even a community theatre and art gallery. Kelowna is our main city, about 30 mins drive, where there are many shops, beaches, summer activities. theatres and art. Kelowna International Airport is about 20 mins drive, with short flights to Vancouver and Calgary. Vancouver is approx 5 hours drive through beautiful scenery and Calgary about 7 hours through the Rockies.
Ski hills Big White and Silverstar are both approx. 60 mins drive if you wish to come for ski season.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Okanagan Centre is quiet and peaceful with beautiful views looking over Okanagan Lake. Our house is a very short walk away from the lake where you can enjoy swimming and walking on the lake path. There are a couple of small cafes to eat, a museum and a large public dock for fishing. It is a 7 minute car ride to shops.

Our home exchange - places to go and things to do while staying in our home
We have many wineries within a short car ride, most offer food as well as lovely views over Lake Okanagan. There are a number of golf courses between Vernon and Kelowna. Okanagan Centre is half way between these two larger cities. Both cities have theaters, art galleries and shopping. Kelowna has a beautiful waterfront with sandy beaches and a casino.
Within Lake Country, there are small restaurants serving Greek food, Italian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican and Japanese.
Places to visit for the day: Cycling or walking the historic Myra Canyon Trestles, riding the Kettle Valley steam train, Water slides, Kangaroo farm, Zip Lining and more.
