Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
We live in a quiet suburb of Galway city with public transport on our doorstep.We are within walking distance of our local beach with lifeguards on duty during July and August.The Kingfisher public swimming pool is 5 minutes walk.There are two local shops, two pharmacies,a post office,two coffee shops,playground and friendly, helpful neighbours in our area.The city bus service no 402 bustle is located around the corner from the house.This bus services trips to the city centre.There is a lovely walk around the beach,GAA hurling pitches and the headland that faces the Burren,a UNESCO geosite of importance.

It has a great selection of traditional Irish pubs, traditional music ,restaurants and a “bohemian” vibe with its young people and student population.
