Our Home For Exchange

Description of the home we are offering for exchange

This is our spacious family home in the quiet but very centrally located Ballsbridge area. The Intercontinental hotel is just close by so it's a great neighbourhood.

The famous Irish poet WB Yeats was born around the corner on Sandymount avenue - you will see the plaque on his house!
The Dart (light rail) is literally a two minute walk from the house. It brings you right into the city in ten minutes - or out to the pretty seaside towns and villages of Howth, Dalkey and Killiney where you can enjoy spectacular scenery, stroll around the shops and sample the local seafood.

The house was built in 1892 - it's on a lovely terrace overlooking a little park and tennis court owned by the residents of our street.

You can catch a glimpse of the famous rugby venue, the Aviva stadium right at the top of the road.

The RDS - home to the legendary Dublin Horse Show is less than five minute's walk away.

The picturesque village of Sandymount is also very close by - with nice little shops, cafes and lovely restaurants for a very easy and relaxed night out.

We renovated the house top to bottom recently but did our best to maintain the character and charm.

It's a lovely warm family home, 140 sq metres large. It has a great kitchen with a 'snug' just off it where you can watch TV in front of an antique French stove in which we burn wood and Irish turf.

A tranquil sitting room at the front overlooks the park and it has an open fire where you can sit and read peacefully, listening to the radio, relaxing after a day of sightseeing!

Neighbourhood

Our house is just a short distance between the two bustling neighbourhoods of Sandymount and Ballsbridge, with lots of cafes, restaurants, pubs and facilities nearby. Herbert Park is a lovely spot for a walk, to feed the ducks and to have a coffee. There is a nice farmer's market there on Sundays.
The Aviva Stadium - which hosts major international sporting events is 10 minute's walk away. The RDS with its world-famous Dublin Horse Show is five minute's walk away.
