Howth is lying on a peninsula close to Dublin. It has a busy harbour with many restaurants and good fish shops. We liked to sit on the pier and listen to very good musicians. The Kellys house is a modern, spaceous, light filled building, lying quiet at the end of a cul de sac in the middle of the town, 10min walk to the harbour. Howth is also great for hiking. You can start right when you step out of the door and do a great walk to the beautiful cliffs. Also Dublin is only a short trip by train and has a unique spirit and a special attitude towards life. Communication with the Kellys was always easy, helpful and friendly. We were so glad to use their car. We found our home clean and proper, when we returned. We would change again at any time!

We had a wonderful time staying in the Kellys home. It is in a perfect location - just a short walk into Howth and with so much to do around the area. We enjoyed the cliff top walk, a boat trip to Ireland's eye and a day in Dublin on the Dart. We loved walking into Howth in an evening and getting an ice-cream looking out at the boats. The kellys home is very spacious and the garden is a kids paradise!!! When we weren't out and about our kids loved playing on the zip wire and the swings. We had a fantastic time and great memories were made. Thanks a million Aideen and Jason for a great house swap!

We had a lovely stay at the Kelly house in Howth. The house is so spacious and the playground, treehouse and chickens out the back kept our daughter occupied throughout our stay. Furthermore, there is a very comfortable area for the kids to hangout inside. The house was spotless and the views over the bay amazing. Aideen, Jay and family were warm and welcoming during all communication. We arrived back to a spotless home. Would highly recommend a stay at the Kellys.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

We live in a thriving fishing village located on a peninsula 12 km from dublin city centre. We are surrounded by beaches. The village is a very popular trip for tourists visiting dublin. Howth is famous for its seafood restaurants, traditional pubs, cliff walks and hiking trails. It is serviced excellent transport links. Dublin city centre is 25 mins via train. We live in the village so all amenities are within walking distance. There are lots of families around. Howth is very popular with families as somewhere to live and visit.

Howth is 25 mins via train to the city centre of Dublin, 1 hr drive to Wicklow, 15mins to another popular seaside village of Malahide. Howth castle and grounds is a10 min walk. You can also do boat rides to nearby islands and catch a ferry from Howth to do a Dublin bay cruise.

We have agreed a home swap this summer, August 2024.We are not currently in a position to do a home swap other than during school holidays.
A home that is suitable for children and close to nature preferably near a lake or swimming area. We have parents living next door to us so there will always be help at hand should you need it. House rules are that you relax and enjoy your holiday

We had a lovely stay at the Kelly house in Howth. The house is so spacious and the playground, treehouse and chickens out the back kept our daughter occupied throughout our stay. Furthermore, there is a very comfortable area for the kids to hangout inside. The house was spotless and the views over the bay amazing. Aideen, Jay and family were warm and welcoming during all communication. We arrived back to a spotless home. Would highly recommend a stay at the Kellys.
