Description of the home we are offering for exchange

We have Summer 2023 booked. Looking for Oct/Nov midterm school hols for 5/ 7 days. Our house is a stand alone property on extensive grounds with large garden front and back.Close proximity
to three major cities Waterford,
Kilkenny and Cork. One hours drive from the famous Bunratty Castle, Blarney Castle, Wild Atlantic Way. Cork Airport 60 mins drive and Dublin 2hr drive. Quiet rural setting, 8km from nearest medieval town Cahir which is located on the river Suir and a heritage town which features Cahir Castle,the Swiss Cottage and riverside walks. Historic Rock of Cashel closeby.10km from Clonmel a lively town with all the big supermarkets.
Irish pub with good Guinness 2km from house where you will be greeted with a warm Irish welcome.
In our home we have all camping equipment if you wanted to camp out for a few nights, we can supply you with maps, sleeping bags, utensils, anything that you need. Spacious private garden to relax in. Family living nearby if needed for anything. Close to many mountain ranges. Ideally located to
discover the Wild Atlantic Way.

Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area

Our neighbourhood is rural and peaceful. We live 8km from Mountain range and hiking, and we are also close to heritage towns of Cahir and Cashel. Ideally situated to explore Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny for day trips. As our house sleeps 10 people it is ideal for adult children. If you like mountaineering there is many opportunities in this area. 30 minutes drive from our house you can climb three mountain ranges. If you want more information on this activity we have plenty of maps. The coastline around Waterford is a beautiful drive and you can link up to some lovely villages such as Ardmore https://www.dungarvantourism.com/ardmore/
Ireland is home of the pint of Guinness and if you like a drink the local pub is just over 1 km from our house, Helen's parents owns this pub.
We like mountaineering, cycling, running so if you like any of the above mentioned please feel free to ask.

Tourist attractions include the Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle named best European film location) , Swiss cottage
and Kilkenny Castle. Ideally located to
tour south Ireland
mountain regions. We have many mountains ranges within easy reach. Our nearst town Cahir is a market town situated on the river Suir with a castle open to the public and river walks. The Galty Mountain are 10 km from our home if you like hiking and there are many tracks and trails around the area.
Ireland is a lush green countryside with amazing history and folklore in every area. We are a welcoming family and want you to feel at home in our house.
